Europe Biobank Week 2024

SCIBIOEU was represented at the Europe Biobank Week 2024 congress that took place on the 14th-17th of May in Vienna, with a oral and a poster presentation.

EBW2024 was a fantastic opportunity to dive deep into biobank topics, connect with leading experts in the biobanking community, and stay updated on the latest innovations. It was also a great chance for the SCIBIOEU consortium members to meet in person and discuss the next steps forward.

All the member of SCIBIOEU would like to thank the organisation committee and everyone who was interested in the results of the project. We have noted all the emails and we will make sure to let everyone know when the public demo of the SCIBIOEU Serious Game is available!

GamiFIN 2024

The staff of SCIBIOEU had the chance to attend the GamiFIN 2024 conference that took place in Ruka, Finland, 2-5 April 2024!

Flyers of the SCIBIOEU project were distributed to every participant, and we had the opportunity to receive feedback for the SCIBIOEU Serious Game, from the world experts in gamification!

Looking forward for next year’s GamiFIN, where we can have the chance to showcase the completed SCIBIOEU Seriou Game!

Third TPM (Online)

The third Transnational Project Meeting of SCIBIOEU took place as an online meeting on the 12th of December, through ZOOM. All partners of the SCIBIOEU consortium were able to present their progress in their working packages, especially concerning the SCIBIOEU online course and the SCIBIOEU online Serious Game. An alpha version of the Serious Game was presented to everyone, giving rise to a lot of brainstorming, concerning the game development. Finally, future plans of the project and preparations for the written project evaluations were also included in the discussion.

Second TPM in NSCR Demokritos

The second plenary meeting of the SCIBIOEU Erasmus+ KA2 project took place in hybrid mode on the premises of the National Centre of Scientific Research “Demokritos” on 15 and 16 of June 2023 in Athens. Partners had the chance to present the initial results and evaluations of the project, as well as discuss the structure of the SCIBIOEU course and the base design of the digital Serious Game. Future plans of the project were also included in the discussions.

On the second day, Dr. Helen Vavouraki performed a guided tour on the Human Tissue Biobank of NCSR Demokritos, showcasing the biobank’s equipment and scientific achievements.

Kick-off Meeting

The kick-off meeting of SCIBIOEU took place on the 23rd of January 2023 in Graz, Austria.
The partners were able to meet each other in person and discuss about the workplan of the project.
